What is Hyperhidrosis Botulinum Toxin (Botox)?

Hyperhidrosis botulinum toxin (Botox) is a treatment that injects botulinum toxin into areas with excessive sweating, temporarily suppressing the release of acetylcholine — the neurotransmitter that stimulates sweat glands — to help reduce sweat production.

Botulinum toxin works by inhibiting the release of acetylcholine at sympathetic nerve endings, reducing the signals transmitted to the sweat glands.

Changes you can expect

  • Improves body odor

Weakens sweat gland function to help manage sweat-related odor and discomfort.

  • Reduces excessive sweating

Temporarily suppresses the nerve signals sent to the sweat glands, helping reduce excessive sweat production.

  • Treats various areas

Can be performed on various concern areas prone to heavy sweating and odor, such as the underarms, palms, and soles.

  • Simple injection process

Performed as a simple injection into the concern area without incisions, making the treatment relatively convenient.

Recommended for you

  3. Those who want an easy way to improve sweat odor and sweating

Aftercare precautions

  1. After treatment for palm hyperhidrosis, grip strength may rarely weaken slightly; this is temporary and no cause for concern.
  2. Avoid rubbing or irritating the treated area.
  3. It is best to avoid alcohol, saunas, and steam rooms for one week after the procedure.
  4. As this is an injection, bruising and swelling may occur depending on skin condition, but they subside within a few days.
